Rules Summary
On your turn, roll dice up to three times to collect points, attack, heal, and gain energy. Control Tokyo for bonus scoring and pressure your opponents. Reach 20 points first or be the last surviving monster.
How to Play
Objective Win by being the first monster to reach 20 victory points or by being the last monster standing. Setup Each player chooses a monster and takes its matching player board or token, if included. Give each player the starting health indicated by the game and set victory points to 0. Place the dice within reach and form a supply of energy cubes and any power or support cards if included in this edition. Leave Tokyo empty at the start. Turn Structure Roll all dice up to three times, keeping any results you want between rolls. Resolve dice results: numbers score points if you have enough matching faces, claws deal damage, hearts heal, and energy gains energy cubes. If Tokyo is empty and you dealt damage, move into Tokyo if required by the rules of this version. Apply damage to monsters outside or inside Tokyo as appropriate. Spend energy on available cards or effects if this edition includes them. Check whether any monster must yield Tokyo after taking damage. End your turn and pass dice to the next player. End of Game The game ends immediately when a player reaches the victory point target or when only one monster remains alive. Notes This version appears to be a simplified entry point to the King of Tokyo line, so some modules from the original game may be reduced or omitted. Core play is still centered on Yahtzee-style reroll decisions, attacking, healing, and scoring points through staying in Tokyo.
