Rules Summary
Choose a monster and cooperate with the other players to stop a giant Boss from taking over Monster Island. On your turn, roll dice up to three times, then use the results to move, fight, heal, and complete missions while managing enemy spawns and volcano effects.
How to Play
Objective Work together to defeat the Boss before the volcano, minions, or island effects overwhelm the team. Setup Place the island board and volcano components, set up the Boss monster and any minion decks or tokens, and give each player a monster board with matching dice and markers. Prepare mission cards, support tokens, energy/resources, and set health values according to player count. Turn Structure Start of turn: resolve any ongoing effects, volcano activity, or scenario effects. Roll and reroll your dice up to three times, choosing which results to keep each time. Resolve dice symbols such as movement, attacks, healing, energy, support, or mission progress. Move around the island if allowed and attack minions or the Boss in your area or as specified by the rules. Use support actions or complete mission objectives to weaken the Boss and aid teammates. Resolve enemy responses, spawn effects, and any end-of-turn volcano or minion actions. End of Game The players win if they defeat the Boss. The players lose if one or more loss conditions are triggered, typically involving the Boss objective progressing too far, the volcano overwhelming the island, or the team being defeated. Notes This game is broadly based on Yahtzee-style dice selection from King of Tokyo, but with team play, scenario pressure, missions, and a shared boss encounter. Exact setup and boss rules can vary by scenario or edition.
